Ben Kaplan is an Associate at Hilco Streambank. He has been with the firm for 3 years, focusing on the brand intellectual property disposition services business. Ben has built a significant expertise in the valuation and disposition of intellectual property assets in healthy and distressed situations, completing successful sales of operating assets as well as balkanized assets in bankruptcy processes. Ben is a critical part of the team that led the processes to sell the brand intellectual property assets of The Sports Authority, A&P, Brinkmann, Marbles The Brain Store, and the digital publisher LittleThings.

Ben also assists Hilco Streambank with the analysis required for it to conduct diligence and acquire brands, including home goods and lifestyle brands Portico and Under the Canopy and the golf club and accessory brand PowerBilt.

Prior to joining Hilco Streambank, Ben was part of the Hilco Global marketing team, focusing on digital initiatives including the rebranding and refreshing of the Company’s website and social media presence, execution of email communication for each of its business units, and developing quarterly benchmarks and reporting to measure performance of the marketing efforts for the company and each of its divisions.

Ben earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. He is an avid golfer, scuba diver and fisherman.
