Hilco Streambank is a boutique intellectual property advisory firm. We specialize in the valuation and disposition of all forms of intangible assets, invest in intellectual property and operate a leading brokerage business focusing on IPv4 internet protocol addresses. Additionally, we maintain smaller marketing efforts for other in-house brands including Powerbilt and ForeclosedHomes.com. 

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to head up all marketing effort across the business in our New York City office. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in both design and marketing including inbound/email, CRM and list management, website content management and structure, paid and organic social, SEM, SEO, data analysis and strategy, public relations, marketing material design, and more. We’re growing quickly and the Marketing Director will shape the marketing efforts, personalized to each in-house business line, to ultimately grow and promote the larger brand. The right fit will be passionate about, and understands the role of integrated B2B marketing.  We ask that candidates provide a portfolio containing both web and graphic design work. 

 

Job Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions 

  • Liaise, lead and coordinate digital content-related tasks and activities on a day-to-day basis including the company’s website, CRM, social media, email campaigns and more while understanding the full landscape of Hilco Streambank’s brand and style, ensuring brand consistency 

  • Create or update coded components to company websites  

  • Help maintain a clean, light-weight digital environment, ensuring CMS/CRM/Box are organized and up to date 

  • Lead team’s overall digital content strategy, including identifying needs and proposing solutions 

  • Manage marketing team and efforts across all business lines  

  • Manage outside PR, events/conferences, calls and relationships 

  • Report directly to the COO  

Education, Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media or equivalent is preferred. 

  • Five to eight years of experience 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

  • Brand Management  

  • Ability to articulate strategies and solutions in meetings and drive for results 

  • Able to execute appropriate content on a variety of digital platforms, such as email, social media, and website 

  • Ability to think like a customer is essential. Must demonstrate strong understanding of how people use websites/digital products; experience with audience analytics  

  • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. (for collateral development) 

  • Website content management (WordPress experience, and other CMS knowledge) 

  • Email software (Net-Results, MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.) 

  • Microsoft Office: creating brand materials including PowerPoint decks, Word Templates etc. Understanding of Excel capabilities to improve marketing data management, knowledge 

  • CRM Management (knowledge of Salesforce and Datorama are a plus) 

  • Social media (content creation, design, deployment, audience engagement management, and paid campaigns) 

  • SEO and SEM monitoring/improvement 

  • Paid online advertising and sponsorship management (Google Adwords -display, smart, and search, targeted display advertising on sponsor sites, etc) 

  • Public relations (media list creation, Cision experience is a plus, press pitching, opportunity identifying, press monitoring) 

  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and communication skills (press releases and copywriting) 

  • Ability to work well in a small team environment, often working autonomously to create pieces of a larger campaign 

  • Experience managing a small team  

  • Basic HTML and CSS, additional web technologies are a plus
